You love to cook and the most important room in the house, to you, is your kitchen. But, not only do you cook, bake and preserve food for your family, you also cook for friends and neighbors for their special occasions. You thought perhaps a catering business will be nice to have since you already sell your preserved foods. However, your kitchen cannot accommodate a catering service as it is now. You will need a professional kitchen which will require some kitchen design ideas and ultimately, a kitchen renovation.
Kitchen layouts have different categories so it is important for you to decide on the basic floor plan. Efficient layout maximizes time and minimizes efforts of moving from one point to another. An effective work triangle should be carefully planned. The idea of a work triangle optimizes the flow between work areas. Careful planning allows you to determine the number of work areas you want to be installed as well as take into consideration the number of people who will be using the kitchen.
The first of my kitchen design ideas is to work on the color scheme of your kitchen. If you are fortunate enough to have real wood cabinets, strip the finish off them and redo it with a lightly tinted stain. If your cabinets are not wood, you can go ahead and paint them in any color you wish. Paint the walls as well, in a color that best highlights the cabinets.
